Jackie
Rubin
Oct 4, 1951 — Feb 26, 2019
Mary Jacalyn "Jackie" Rubin, of Polk City, Florida, formerly of St. Clair, was born October 4, 1951, in the City of St. Louis, and departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior at 4:45 p.m., on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, in the Good Shepherd Hospice, Auburndale, Florida, after an illness from cancer. She had attained the age of 67 years, 4 months, and 22 days.
Jackie was a member of the Baptist faith from the age of nine years when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized while her family was living Houston, Texas. She was raised in the Midwest; attending Lafayette High School, St. Joseph; and during her working life, was a factory worker; became a Certified Surgical Technologist at Methodist Medical Center, St. Joseph; also a licensed cosmetologist in Grant City, and after her marriage, attained an Associate Degree in Accounting from Keizer University in Florida.
She was united in marriage on December 31, 2000, at Stanton, to her soulmate, Terry Lee Rubin. After most of their working life, Jackie and Terry moved from St. Clair to Polk City, Florida, for their retirement. Jackie especially enjoyed flower gardening and any type of gardening in general. She was a free spirit, had a gift for gab gaining her friends she considered family, and making precious memories with a cup of coffee in hand.
Those left to mourn the passing of Jackie include: Her children, Leslie James Williams of Polk City, Florida, Ronald Lynn Williams of St. Joseph, David Duwayne Williams of Polk City, Florida, and Kelly Lee Hodge and husband, Matt, of Sullivan; her grandchildren, Destiny Lueddecke, Preston Williams, Brandon Baker, and River Hodge; her siblings, Shirley Ann Maddock of St. Joseph, Terry Allen Musser and wife, Pat, of Atchison, Kansas, Clara Sue "Susie" Jackson and husband, Gary, of Osborn, and Roger Clifton Musser of Gower; nephews; nieces; cousins; many extended family and friends; and especially her dog, Sayde.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Terry, on June 21, 2014; her parents, Mable Irene (Palmer) Powell on June 14, 2004, and Thurman Lee Gray; one sister, Mable Lee Gray, on November 30, 2007; one nephew, Jason Maddock; and one great-niece, Amy Carroll.
The way Jackie lived and interacted with others is the best tribute anyone could have for their life. Family and friends will gather at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 5, 2019, for a Celebration of Life Graveside Service in the Union Hill Cemetery, 14403 Highway East, Vienna, Missouri 65582, with the Rev.
