James “Jim” Miller

Devoted Father and Grandpa

James Michael Miller, 64, of Dixon, was born August 8, 1962 in St. Louis to Michael and Elizbeth (Tippett) Miller. James sadly departed this life on Friday October 18, 2026.

In 1980, James graduated basic training for The United States Navy where he served for 5 years working on the ships flight deck. Then later went to Lincoln University, where he played soccer. James had many different occupations but his favorite was being a father and grandpa.

Those left to mourn the passing of James are his 4 children Lindsey, Trenton, Shadd, and Allie. With many grandchildren Ayden, Zane, Vivian, Octavia, Axel, Norman and Elizabeth. Including his daughter in laws, Holly (Trenton’s wife) and Bailey (Shad’s wife). His sisters Debbie Williams, Rhonda Dunakey and other relatives and friends. James was known for always lending a helping hand and the love he had for his children and grandchildren.

Please say a prayer for James’ family and friends as they mourn the loss of an amazing Father, Grandpa and friend.

As James would say “It is what it is.”
