Obituary

Janet Lee Flowers, age 62, of Vichy, was born May 21, 1961, at St. Louis, a daughter of Delbert Howard and Edna Hazel (Hamby) Kaley, and passed from this life Friday, March 29, 2024, at her residence in Vichy.

She was united in marriage August of 1985, in Dyer, TN, to Jimmie Martin Flowers Jr., who preceded her in death on December 9, 2023.

Janet was baptized later in life and at the time of her passing was a member of the Tabernacle of Praise, Rolla, where she was a youth minister, helped with the youth choir, and bus ministry.

In addition to being a devoted housewife and mother, Janet owned and operated a thrift store for four years in Rolla. She enjoyed spending time with her family, crafts, decorating, and putting on skits and puppet shows.

Those left to celebrate the life of Janet include: her three sons, Jimmie Martin Flowers III (Tracy Jean) of Kansas City, and Waylon James Flowers, Sr., and Delbert Lee Flowers, both of Vichy; five grandchildren, Allyson Danielle Flowers, Waylon James Flowers, Jr., Rylie Tatum Sue Kean, Landyn Keeney, and Levi Keeney; two brothers, Bob Hamby, and Hoss Kaley; two sisters, Jean Connelly and Delberta Kaley; three cousins by marriage, Kristen King, Carla Woodruff, and Doug Woodruff; many nephews and nieces; and many other relatives; and a host of friends.

In addition to her husband, Jimmie, she was preceded in death by her father, Delbert; her mother, Edna; and one brother, Thomas Kaley.

Visitation for Mrs. Janet Flowers will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, April 12, 2024, in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home Chapel, 406 S. Main Street, Vienna, MO 65582.

A graveside service for Mrs. Flowers will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., in Oakwood Cemetery, 662 TN-5, Dyer, TN 38330, with Bro. Chris Golden officiating, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. Pallbearers will be Jimmie Martin Flowers III, Waylon James Flowers, Sr., Delbert Lee Flowers. Honorary pallbearers will be Debbie Cook and Pastor Tim Blackwell.
