Obituary

Jason Charles Clark Rollins, of rural Maries County near Rolla, was born on September 3, 1980, at Richmond Heights, a son of John Wayne and Tracy Lynn (Bolden) Rollins, and departed this life on Sunday, November 2, 2013. Jason had attained the age of 33 years, and 2 months.

Jason was united in marriage on November 13, 2004, at Vienna, to the former Brandi Louise Fawcett. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Sally Rollins; maternal grandfather, Clark Bolden; twin nephews, William and Jonathan Steadman; and three uncles, Donnie Rollins, Clark Bolden, Jr., and Gene Backues.

Jason had accepted Jesus Christ as his Personal Savior and had followed his Lord in baptism while attending the First Baptist Church, Vienna, and was a former member of the Dixon Volunteer Fire Department. During his working life, he had been employed by the ABB Corporation, Jefferson City, as a welder and was currently employed as the maintenance manager of the Maries Manor Care and Rehabilitation Center, Vienna. Activities Jason especially enjoyed were hunting, fishing, and farming.

Jason was a United States Navy veteran and had served in the U.S. Army National Guard. During his military career, he had been trained as a welding operator and was awarded and entitled to wear the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal; the Navy "E" Ribbon, and the GWOT Service Medal. His "Honorable Discharge" is a testimonial of honest and faithful service to his country.

Those left to mourn the passing of Jason include: His wife, Brandi Rollins, of the home in rural Rolla; two sons, Iven Rollins and Noah Rollins, both of the home; two daughters, Summer Fawcett and Evelyn Rollins, both of the home; his father, John Wayne Rollins, Dixon; his mother, Tracy Rollins, Jefferson City; three brothers, Justin Rollins, Jefferson City, John Rollins, Tipton, and Jesse Rollins, Jefferson City; three sisters, Angela Barclay, Jefferson City, Amy Hobbs, Lebanon, and Sarah Rollins, Ashland; his maternal grandmother, Patricia Bolden, St. Louis; nephews; nieces; other relatives; and a host of friends.

Visitation was held for Jason from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, November 7, 2013, in the Wheeler Church of Christ, rural Dixon. The church is located on Maries County Road 607 off Highway 42 west of Vienna. Interment was in the Wheeler Cemetery, rural Dixon.
