Jean Therese Rosendale, age 59, of Sedalia, formerly of Freeburg, was born May 24, 1962, at Freeburg, a daughter of Francis de Sales Henry and Juliana Marie (Castrop) Luetkemeyer, and passed from this life Tuesday, August 31, 2021, in SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital, Jefferson City.

Growing up in Freeburg, Jean was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, a graduate of Holy Family School, and a 1982 graduate of  Fatima High School, Westphalia.  She continued her education by attending the University of Missouri, Columbia, and graduated from there in 1986 with a  Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

While making her home in Sedalia, Jean was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was employed as an accountant for Alcan Cable Company.  She especially loved gardening, her flowers, playing Scrabble, and most of all, her pets, Ollie, Daisy, and Leo.  Her sons and family will always remember her as a loving mother, as a devoted homemaker, and a person always diligent in providing for the needs of her family.

Those left to celebrate the life of Jean include:  Her three sons, Jacob Rosendale and his wife, Hillary, of Columbia; Luke Rosendale of Kansas City, MO; and Noah Rosendale of Sedalia; her two brothers, Paul Luetkemeyer and his wife, Donna, of Freeburg; and John Luetkemeyer of Columbia; her four sisters, Mary Koeneman and her companion, Jay Nies, of Jefferson City; Rose Dyer and her husband, Pete, of Jefferson City; Joan Keth and her husband, Kirby, of Westphalia; and Ruth Jaegers and her husband, Bill, of Jefferson City; nephews; nieces; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Francis, on November 4, 2009; and her mother, Juliana, on December 6, 2019.

Visitation for Mrs. Jean Rosendale will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 10, 2021, in Holy Family Catholic Church, 104 Oliver Street, Freeburg, MO 65035, with her Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. in the church with Rev. William D. Debo as the celebrant, under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.

Inurnment for Mrs. Rosendale will be in the Holy Family Cemetery, Freeburg, with Jacob Rosendale, Luke Rosendale, Noah Rosendale, Paul Luetkemeyer, John Luetkemeyer, Mary Koeneman, Rose Dyer, Joan Keth, and Ruth Jaegers serving as her honorary pallbearers.

Immediately following the cemetery inurnment ceremony, the Rosendale family extends an invitation to all in attendance to share a meal with them in the fellowship hall on the lower level of American Legion Post 317, 402 US Highway 63, Freeburg, MO 65035.
