Jerome Frank "Jerry" "Possum" Otto, of Argyle, was born on February 25, 1963, at Jefferson City, a son of Urban Fred and Margaret Mary (Bauer) Otto and departed this life at 3:15 p.m., Thursday, July 20, 2017, at his residence near Argyle. Jerry had attained the age of 54 years, 5 months, and 26 days.
Jerry was united in marriage on September 2, 1989, at Taos, to Denice Marie Doggett and to this union, two children were born. He was preceded in death by his father, Urban on March 8, 2011; his paternal grandparents, Leo and Elizabeth (Holterman) Otto and his maternal grandparents, Ben and Sophie (Mozelewski) Bauer.
He was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Koeltztown, and was a third degree member of the Argyle Knights of Columbus Council No. 2047. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, going to car shows, truck pulls, and mud runs. Jerry was a 1982 graduate of Fatima High School, Westphalia. He started working for Von Hoffman Press, Jefferson City, in 1996 as a case maker for book sets and since 2013 was a glass dropper at Quaker Window, Freeburg.
Those left to mourn the passing of Jerry include: his wife, Denice Otto of the home in rural Argyle; two sons, Dustin Otto and wife, Jerica, Crocker; and Cameron Otto, Argyle; his mother, Margie Otto, Argyle; four brothers, Joe Otto and wife, Nyla, Jefferson City; John Otto, Jefferson City; James Otto and wife, Kathy, Argyle; and Jeffrey Otto and wife, Michel, Argyle; three sisters, Venny Groene and husband, Jerry, Koeltztown; Linda Hall and husband, Don, Wichita, Kansas; and Denise Spencer, Lincoln, Nebraska; and many other relatives and friends.
