Jerry Darlene Sharp, of Dixon, was born March 3, 1941, in Phelps County, the daughter of Joseph Estill and Grace Loraine (Prewett) Sharp, and departed this life at 2:52 a.m., Wednesday morning, February 26, 2014, in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Jerry had attained the age of 72 years, 11 months, and 23 days.

Jerry never married. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph E. Sharp on January 15, 1988; and her mother, Grace L. Sharp on March 5, 2010.

Jerry made her profession of faith at an early age and followed her Lord in baptism at the First Baptist Church, Dixon.

Jerry graduated from Cosmetology School in Rolla. She worked in the field for some time and also worked several jobs in sales at Goodies and Dillards. Her primary calling was to be a close companion and care giver to her mother until her passing. Jerry lived in Jefferson City until her mother passed and then moved back to Dixon. She then attended the First Assembly of God Church, Dixon.

Those left to remember and honor her include: one brother, Larry J. Sharp and wife, Beverly, of Dixon; one nephew, Cody J. Sharp and wife, Susanna, and their son, Adler, of Jefferson City; one niece, Shannon R. Myers, and her daughter, Skyler, of Rolla; one step-nephew, Matthew J. Parker and wife, Allison, and their son, Jackson, of Seattle, Washington; and other relatives and friends.

Fond and precious memories of Jerry will remain in the hearts of family, Church family, and all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be 1 – 3 p.m., Friday, February 28, 2014, with funeral services at 3 p.m. all in the First Assembly of God Church, Dixon, under the direction of the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
