Obituary

Jesse David "J.D." Warner, age 60, of Union, formerly of Dixon, was born April 20, 1961, at Rolla, a son of Granville and Alma (Messersmith) Warner, and passed from this life Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at his residence in Union.

He was united in marriage December 9, 1995, at Union, to the former Miss Sherry Lynne Welch.

Earlier in life, J.D. accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized while attending First Baptist Church, Dixon. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, St. Louis. J.D. enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sports in general.

During his working life, he was employed by Ameren Missouri, St. Louis, as a Line Crew worker, for 10 years until forced to retire due to disability.

Those left to mourn the passing of J.D. include: His wife, Sherry Warner, of the home in Union; one brother, Randall Warner, and wife, Susan, of Branson; cousins; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Granville (4-20-1998); and his mother, Alma (11-19-2010).

Fond and precious memories of J.D. will always be remembered in the hearts of his dear family and all who knew and loved him.

Visitation for Mr. J.D. Warner will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 28, 2021, in Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, 105 East Third Street, Dixon, MO 65459, with his graveside funeral service following at 2:30 p.m. in Wheeler Cemetery, 42100 Maries Road 601, Dixon, MO 65459, with Rev. L. Wayne Welch, Grandview, MO, officiating.

Pallbearers for J.D. will be relatives and friends including Randall Warner, Wally Warner, Vince Mahtani, Andrew Mahtani, and Bob Nappier, and his honorary pallbearers are Norman Welch, Joseph Welch, and Ross Sutherland.

Memorials are to Wheeler Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box EE, Dixon, MO 65459.
