Obituary

Jimmie Martin Flowers, Jr., age 62, of Vichy, was born December 2, 1961, at Chicago, Illinois, a son of Jimmie Martin and Miriam Merlene (Burnette) Flowers, Sr., and passed from this life Saturday, December 9, 2023, in Phelps Health, Rolla.

He was baptized in 1992 and at the time of his passing was a member of the Tabernacle of Praise, Rolla. During his working life, he was employed by St. James Trucking Company as a truck driver for eleven years. Jimmie was also the owner of Flowers Custom Trailers, Vichy, prior to his failing health.

Those left to celebrate the life of Jimmie include: the mother of his children, Janet Flowers of Vichy; three sons, Jimmie Martin Flowers III (Tracy Jean) of Kansas City, and Waylon James Flowers, Sr., and Delbert Lee Flowers, both of Rolla; five grandchildren, Allyson Danielle Flowers, Waylon James Flowers, Jr., Rylie Tatum Sue Flowers, Landyn Skaggs Keeney, and Levi Skaggs Keeney; two brothers, Howard Lephew, and Dale Freiburger, both of the state of Illinois; one sister, Cindy Lephew of Bel Air, Maryland; nephews and nieces; and many other relatives; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie; his mother, Miriam; and one brother, David James Flowers.

Visitation for Mr. Jimmie Flowers, Jr. will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2023, in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home Chapel, 406 S. Main Street, Vienna, MO 65582.

A graveside service for Mr. Flowers will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., in Oakwood Cemetery, 662 TN-5, Dyer, TN 38330, with Bro. Chris Golden officiating, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmie Martin Flowers III, Waylon James Flowers, Sr., Delbert Lee Flowers, Waylon James Flowers, Jr., Howard Lephew, and Dale Freiburger.
