Joel Brady Milligan, of Nixa, formerly of Dixon, was born on April 21, 1969, at Waynesville, a son of Jerry William and Wanda Lurinda (Martin) Milligan, and departed this life at 3:28 a.m., on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at his residence. He had attained the age of 48 years, 11 months, and 17 days.
Brady was united in marriage on June 27, 1998, at Eureka Springs, Arkansas, to the former Miss Tracey Deann Burns, and to this union, one daughter was born.
He grew up in the First Baptist Church, Dixon, where he had accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Personal Savior and had followed his Lord in baptism on May 6, 1979. At the time of his passing, Brady was a member of the Sonrise Baptist Church, Ozark.
He was a 1987 graduate of the Dixon R-1 High School where he was named to the All District basketball and baseball teams during his career. While growing up, Brady was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, and presently, was devoted to helping his daughter with her softball, coaching her team, and coaching basketball. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
At the time of his passing, he had been employed by Custom Metal-Craft, Inc., Springfield, as a Welder for twenty-five years. Brady was held in high esteem by his co-workers for his talent in his trade and was loved by all of his fellow workers.
Those left to mourn the passing of Brady include: His wife, Tracey Milligan, of the home, Nixa; his daughter, Shaelyn Milligan, of the home, Nixa; his parents, Jerry and Wanda Milligan, of Dixon; his brother, Daniel W. Milligan, and wife, Tammy, of Dixon; his sister, Kerri French, and husband, Craig, of Rolla; nephews and nieces, Jarad Milligan and wife, Joni, of Lebanon, Niki Kelsay and husband, Jared, of Iberia, and Maggie French of Rolla; great-nieces, Jara Milligan of Lebanon, Elliet Kelsay of Iberia, and Kori Kelsay being anticipated in May; his father and mother-in-law, Edward and JoAnn Burns, of Dixon; many other relatives; and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Brady Milligan are suggested by his family to the Missouri Department of Conservation Youth Hunting Program with envelopes available at the church or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box EE, Dixon, Missouri 65459.
