Joseph "Joe" Frank Wieberg, of Freeburg, was born on May 24, 1941, at Vienna, a son of Adam F. and Myrtle Helen (Replodge) Wieberg, and departed this life at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, May 27, 2017, at his residence in Freeburg. He had attained the age of 76 years, and 3 days.
Joseph was united in marriage on June 6, 1964, at Freeburg, to Viola Lucille Schulte, and to this union, five children were born. He was preceded in death by his father, Adam on April 5, 1968, his mother Myrtle on June 4, 1992; two brothers, John Wieberg, and Larry Wieberg; and two sisters, Rose Viet, and Mary Ann Laughlin.
Joseph was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 9700, Freeburg, for over twenty years, as well as being the Grand Knight. He was an avid journalizer and would read interties from years past to his family. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, cutting wood with his sons, just being out of doors with his family, and he especially enjoyed his time spent with his nine granddaughters. During his working life he was employed by the Quaker Window Products Company Freeburg, as a supervisor, and had served six years in the Army National Guard.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Wieberg include: His wife, Viola Wieberg, of the home in Freeburg; three sons, Kevin Wieberg, Freeburg, Chris Wieberg and wife, Bonnie, Koeltztown; and Leslie Wieberg, Freeburg; two daughters Laurie Steineman, and husband, Andy, Forest, Virginia; and Ashley Walker, and husband, Eric, Jefferson City; four brothers, Albert Wieberg, Westphalia, Adam Wieberg, Jr., Vienna; Virgil Wieberg, Maries Home; and William "Bill" Wieberg, Holts Summit; nine granddaughters; and many other relatives and friends.
Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery, Freeburg, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Vienna.
