Obituary

Junior Dale Doyle, of Dixon, was born on April 18, 1936, near Dixon, in Pulaski County, a son of John and Nettie Florence (Null) Doyle, and departed this life at 12:35 a.m., on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, in the Dixon Nursing and Rehab following a lengthy illness.  He had attained the age of 82 years, 8 months, and 14 days.

Junior was united in marriage on February 11, 1956, at Dixon, to the former Miss Betty Maxine McKinnon of Granite City, Illinois.

He was baptized in 1956 and a member of the First Baptist Church in Dixon.  During his working life, Junior had been employed as a Pipe Fitter, beginning in 1958, for the Granite City Steel Corporation, Granite City, Illinois, until his retirement in 1994, and moving back to his home town of Dixon.

Those left to mourn the passing of Junior include:  His devoted and loving wife, Betty, of almost sixty-three years, of the home in Dixon; two sisters, Louella Jennings, Granite City, Illinois, and Wanda VanScoy (Earl), Dixon; nephews; nieces; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, John, on March 26, 1980; his mother, Nettie, on June 14, 1976; four brothers, Lloyd Doyle on February 2, 1915, Bobby Doyle on July 11, 1984, Wilson Dean Doyle on June 8, 2012, and John Willard Doyle on March 24, 2018; and four sisters, Marjorie Jones on August 17, 1962, Blanche Fuller on April 11, 1994, Esther Schenk on July 1, 2004, and Eva Doyle on April 3, 2005.

Interment was in the Seaton Cemetery, near Dixon, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Dixon.  Pallbearers for Junior will be Dan Doyle, Duane Doyle, Todd Doyle, Duane VanScoy, Danny Milligan, and Don Vineyard.

Memorials in memory of Mr. Junior Doyle are suggested by his family to the Dixon Senior Citizens Center with envelopes available at the funeral home or in care of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box EE, Dixon, Missouri  65459.
