KEITH J. SANKEY
Keith Jerome Sankey, of rural Freeburg, was born on August 4, 1973, at Jefferson City, a son of Gregory Otto and Margaret Clara (Falter) Sankey, and departed this life at 6:05 a.m., on Monday, July 9, 2018, in the Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City. He had attained the age of 44 years, 11 months, and 5 days.
Keith was united in marriage on November 9, 1996, at Jefferson City, to the former Miss Cara Joy Carr, and to this union, two children were born.
He was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Koeltztown; the Knights of Columbus Council 2047 in Argyle; the Sheet Metal Workers Local 36 in St. Louis; and was a board member of the St. Boniface Cemetery Association. Keith had been employed in sheet metal work for over twenty-three years, and at the time of his passing, was employed by the Mexico Heating Company in Mexico, Missouri. He especially enjoyed all things related to farming; fixing most anything that needed to be repaired; and preparing "out of this world" barbecue.
Those left to mourn the passing of Keith include: His wife, Cara Sankey, of the home in rural Freeburg; his children, Cayla Sankey and Zachary Sankey, both of Freeburg; his parents, Greg and Margaret Sankey, of Koeltztown; his siblings, Carol Jones and husband, Larry, of Koeltztown, David Sankey and wife, Karen, of Argyle, and Glenn Sankey and wife, Christy, of Koeltztown; his father and mother-in-law, Randy and Connie Carr, of Belle; his grandmother-in-law, Margaret Carr, of Belle; his brother-in-law, Scott Carr, and wife, Lisa, of Lebanon; nephews; nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gregory F. and Marie (Schulte) Sankey; his maternal grandparents, Fritz and Regina (Morfeld) Falter; his uncle and godfather, Jerome N. Sankey; and other uncles and aunts.
