Kenneth P. Blake, age 64, of Chesterfield, Missouri, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021, after a long struggle with glioblastoma. Ken was born in Fargo, North Dakota, on February 26, 1956. His family moved to Chicago in 1958, where his love for the Chicago Cubs began. Ken graduated from Niles North High School in 1974. He followed in his parents' footsteps to become a pharmacist, graduating from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1979. He worked as a pharmacist at St. Louis County Hospital where he met his bride of 36+ years, Jane. Ken went on to work as a pharmacist for many years at the St. Louis County Department of Health and BJC Home Infusion.

Ken was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed traveling, exercise, and rock 'n roll, especially The Who. He will always be remembered for his legendary "dad" jokes and undying love for his Chicago Cubs. He had the good fortune to personally attend games four and seven of the 2016 World Series, when the Cubs finally won after 108 long years.

Ken is survived by his wife, Jane (Barnhart) Blake, of Chesterfield, Missouri; two daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and Caleb Buckallew of Chesterfield, Missouri, and Melissa and Matt Goodman of Maplewood, Missouri; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Daniel and Lauren Blake of Chicago, Illinois, and Matthew Blake of Chesterfield, Missouri; three siblings, Rhonda Larson, David Blake, and Harriet Buscombe; two grandchildren, Connor and Madison Buckallew, and a third grandchild due in May, as well as several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Martin I. and Sylvia (Coonin) Blake, and in-laws, Samuel "Everett" Jr. and Frances E. (Weider) Barnhart.

Visitation for Mr. Kenneth Blake will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., on Friday, January 22, 2021, in the Schrader Funeral Home, 14960 Manchester Road, Ballwin, Missouri 63011, by Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna, Missouri.

Visitation for Ken will continue from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 23, 2021, in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, 406 South Main Street, Vienna, Missouri 65582, with his graveside funeral service following at 1:30 p.m., in the Visitation Cemetery, Highway 42 West, Vienna, Missouri 65582, with all arrangements being under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna, Missouri.
