Obituary

Kenneth Alvin Hollis, age 76, of Vienna, was born June 12, 1945, at Meta, the son of Everett Lloyd and Inez Almetta (Blankenship) Hollis, and passed from this life at 2:25 p.m., on Friday, August 6, 2021, at his residence near Vienna.

He was united in marriage May 27, 1967, at Vienna, to the former Miss Sandra Jean Feeler, and to this union, one daughter was born.

He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his person Savior, was baptized in the Maries River, near Vienna, by Rev. Karen Alden, and at the time of his passing was a member of the Vienna United Methodist.

Kenny was a 1963 graduate of the Maries R-1 High School.  Following graduation he worked for McGraw Edison, South Central Regional Stockyard, Inc.; was an auctioneer and ran the Hollis Auction Service for over thirty-seven years, and was a lifelong farmer in Maries County.  He served as president of the Maries County Livestock Association Sale Barn, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.

Those left to mourn the passing of Kenny include: His sisters, Katherine Patterson and husband, Harold, and Donna Thompson and husband,  Ronnie, all of Vienna; mother-in-law, Norma Feeler, Rolla; brother-in-law, Dennis Snodgrass, Vichy; nephews; nieces; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra, on June 26, 2013; his daughter, Andrea Jean (Hollis) Sharp, on April 4, 2021; his father, Everett, on November 28, 2011;  his mother, Inez, on June 25, 2011; father-in-law, Jack Feeler, on January 12, 2017; and sister-in-law, Jerrilyn Snodgrass, on June 19, 2019.

Visitation for Kenny will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021, and from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, with funeral services following at 10:00 a.m., all in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna, with Rev. Duncan Skiles and Rev. Larry Sorrells officiating.

Interment will be next to his beloved wife and daughter in the Vienna Public Cemetery, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
