He was united in marriage on April 15, 2000, at Prescott, Arizona, to Terry Shreen Hill. Kenneth was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Morelan, on April 3, 2013; his father, Van; his mother, Mary; and two brothers, Wayne Morelan, and Steve Morelan.

Kenneth accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior and followed him in baptism early in life at the Patterson Baptist Church in Patterson, Missouri. He was a computer specialist for twenty years at the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, Prescott, Arizona. After retiring in 2006, he and his family moved to Missouri. Activities he especially enjoyed included operating his ham radio, fishing, and computers.
