Laura Mae Holmes, 83, of Dixon, died Friday, May 29, 2015, in the Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla

Born August 7, 1931, at Crystal City, a daughter of David and Thelma (Tullock) Wright

Married February 27, 1950 at St. Louis, to Aaron Holmes, Sr., who preceded her in death on April 17, 1999

Survivors: her children: Frank (Doris) Holmes, Victorville, California; Kathleen Holtsford (& friend, James Hidy), Dixon; Aaron Holmes, Jr., and Michael Holmes, both of Collinsville, Illinois;
Several brothers and sisters;
Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren

Visitation will be held for Mrs. Holmes from 3 – 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2015, with the Words of Tribute service at 6:30 p.m., all in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes

Committal service will be at 11:15 a.m., Thursday, June 4, 2015 in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, under the direction of the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes

Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Louis University School for the Blind with envelopes available at the funeral home.
