Lee Roy McMullin, of Vienna, was born on April 2, 1940, at Black, Missouri, a son of William P. and Lillie M. (Moore) McMullin, and departed this life at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, July 22, 2017, at his residence near Vienna. Mr. McMullin had been in failing health for some time and had attained the age of 77 years, 3 months, and 20 days.
Mr. McMullin was united in marriage on July 6, 1962, at Warrenton, to Virginia Lee Copeland, and to this union, five children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lillie; one brother, Howard McMullin and two sisters, Opal McMullin at the age of 5 years and Beulah Smith.
Mr. McMullin accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior and followed Him in baptism will attending the Ark of the Covenant Church near Dixon where he had also served as Deacon of the church. He had worked for Western Electric in Ballwin for 13 years as well as for the City of Valley Park as a sanitation truck driver. After relocating to the Vienna area, Mr. McMullin worked as a janitor for Quaker Window Products, Freeburg for 22 years. He enjoyed working on old cars, mowing his lawn and being with his children and grandchildren.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. McMullin include: his wife, Virginia McMullin, of the home near Vienna; two sons, Jerry (Paula) McMullin, Stella; and Randy (Cheri) McMullin, Goodman; three daughters, Nina (Curt) Marty, St. Louis; Trisha (Dale Wideman) Maylee, Thayer; and Leanna (Kevin) Naber, Vienna; one brother, Billy (Janet) McMullin, Warrenton; two sisters, Ruth Kennon, Potosi and Mildred (Jr.) Pritchett, Union; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
