Obituary

Lillian Marie Falter, age 94, of Koeltztown, was born October 18, 1927, at Argyle, a daughter of Fred and Sabina (Luebbert) Borgmeyer, and passed from this life Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City.

Mrs. Falter was united in marriage May 7, 1949, at Koeltztown, to Lawrence Herman Falter, and to this union, eight children were born.

She was a faithful member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Koeltztown, the St. Boniface Quilting Club, and the VFW Post 8045 Auxiliary.  Mrs. Falter was a devoted housewife and homemaker to her husband and children throughout her life.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Falter include:  Seven children, Daniel J. Falter and wife, Linda, of Freeburg, Allen F. Falter and wife, Connie, of Argyle, Carolyn A. Forck and husband, Dennis, of Taos, Richard L. Falter and wife, Laure, of Koeltztown, Joan E. Stratman and husband, Victor, of Vienna, Leroy F. Falter and wife, Leigh Ann, of Koeltztown, and Paul H. Falter and wife, Sandy, of Koeltztown; twenty grandchildren; forty-five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronald Borgmeyer, and wife, Alma, of Koeltztown; one sister, Julia Wilde, of Freeburg; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, on October 8, 2020; one infant son, James John Falter, on June 5, 1964; one grandson, John Daniel Falter, on June 17, 2013; her parents; and two brothers, Gerald Borgmeyer and wife, Viola, and infant, Bernard Borgmeyer,  at age 3; and one brother-in-law, James Joseph Wilde, on February 21, 2021.

Visitation for Mrs. Lillian Falter will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 26, 2022, in St. Boniface Catholic Church, 3982 Highway T, Koeltztown, MO 65048, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in the church with Rev. Basil Tigga and Rev. James Finder as concelebrants, under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.

Interment will be next to her beloved husband of seventy-one years, Lawrence, in St. Boniface Cemetery, Koeltztown.  Pallbearers for Mrs. Falter will be grandsons, Justin Falter, Brian Forck, Nathan Falter, Matt Stratman, Eric Falter, Adam Falter, and Corey Falter, and her honorary pallbearers are John Daniel Falter and James John Falter.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Lillian Falter are suggested by her family for Masses or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with envelopes available at St. Boniface Church the day of the  service or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, MO 65582.
