Obituary

Linda Lee Johnson, of Dixon, was born on November 19, 1949, in Los Angles, California, to Glenn Elwyn and Dixie Lee (Eader) McGehee, departed this life at Barnes Jewish Hospital on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 11:15 a.m., Linda attained the age of 69 years, 8 months, and 17 days.

Linda was united in marriage in Dixon on July 9, 1965 to Anthony George Johnson, Sr.  To this union three children were born.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the holidays, and was always diligent in providing for the care and needs of her family.  Early in life, Linda accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Personal Savior, and followed Him in baptism.  Prior to her retirement in December of 2008, she was employed by Enterprise Development Program (EDP Enterprises) in Fort Leonard Wood.  Linda was an active member in the Order of the Eastern Star, Plato Chapter No. 240.

Those left to mourn the passing of Linda includes: Her children, Anthony George Johnson, Jr., and wife, Danielle, of Taylorville, Illinois; April Dawn Shull, and husband, Alfred, and Theresa Lynn Johnson, all of Springfield, Illinois; three grandchildren, Curtis Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Bryce Shull; niece, Lisa Ann Parker and children, Abigail Sue "Abby" Parker and Nathaniel Lee "Nate" Parker, all of Dixon; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony, on March 5, 2009; her father, Glenn, on August 14, 1976; her mother, Dixie, on October 17, 1995; and her sister, Sue, on May 2, 2017.

Visitation for Linda will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., on Friday, August 9, 2019, and from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 10, 2019, in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, 105 East Third Street, Dixon, Missouri 65459, with funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel.

Interment will be in the West Fairview Cemetery, near Dixon, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Dixon.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Linda L. Johnson are suggested by her family to the Shriners Children's Hospital, in care of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box EE, Dixon, Missouri 65459.
