Lorene Nettie Brandt, age 91, of Dixon, was born February 2, 1929, the daughter of Eugene and Stella (Wallace) Ziegler, and passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020, in Life Care Center, Waynesville.

Mrs. Brandt was married June 18, 1948, at Dixon, to Frank Brandt, and to this union, three children were born.

She was baptized early in life, a member of First Baptist Church, Dixon, and the Order of the Eastern Star. During her working life, Mrs. Brandt was employed by Brown Shoe Company, Dixon, and later by Civil Service at Fort Leonard Wood, prior to her retirement, followed by providing childcare. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and reading.

Mrs. Brandt is survived by her children, James Brandt (Lisa), Kathy Saunchegrow (Dale), and Karl Brandt (Kathy), all of Dixon; grandchildren, Sherri Ray (Donnie), Dixon, Michelle Bench, Dixon, Tony Brandt (Olivia), Fulton, Kristen Waterman (Jason), Lebanon, Kody Brandt (Erin), Springfield, and Andy Brandt (Kara), Dixon; great-gandchildren, Ashley Ray, Mirissa Sherrell, Gracie Waterman, Kaleb Brandt, Lilly Waterman, Blake Brandt, Karli Brandt, Ellison Brandt, Jameson Brandt, Cullen Brandt, Asa Brandt, and Annalise Brandt; great-great-grandson, Holden Lee Ray; one sister, Mary Agnes Grempczynski, Villa Ridge; nephews; nieces; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, November 15, 1975; great-granddaughter, Mikayla Sherrell, October 21, 2016; her father, Eugene, June 7, 1975; her mother, Stella, April 1, 1972; brothers, Fred Ziegler and Melvin Ziegler; and sisters, Evelyn McKeown, Lucille Clayton, and Alma Smith.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and using social guidelines in place at this time, a graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Lorene Nettie Brandt at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 16, 2020, in the High Point Cemetery, Highway MM, Dixon, Missouri 65459, with Pastor Jerry Dooley officiating, by Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon. Pallbearers for Mrs. Brandt will be James Brandt, Karl Brandt, Tony Brandt, Andy Brandt, Kody Brandt, and Mark Ziegler.
