Obituary

Ada Louise "Lou" Clark, age 97, of Dixon, was born May 28, 1926, at Owensboro, Kentucky, a daughter of Henry Courtney and Maple Clara (Miller) Moody, and past from this life Friday, September 1, 2023.

She was united in marriage March 23, 1952, at Reno, Nevada, to Dalton Lindsey (Dale) Clark, who preceded his wife in death November 27, 2006.

Lou was a member of the Dixon United Methodist Church since 1957, and a former member of the Happy Homemakers Club.

During her working life, she was employed as a child care provider for many years as well as being a devoted housewife and homemaker.

Lou is survived by two sons, William "Billy" Harris (Norma Jean), of Battlefield, and Jimmy Clark (Elaine) of Dixon; two daughters, Brenda Howser (Wayne) of Nixa, and Carol Koch (Alan) of Lee's Summit; one brother, Bobby Moody, of Elkhart, Indiana; one sister, Barbara Phillips, of Owensboro, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers,
Bill Moody and Tom Moody; and one granddaughter, Kalen Clark.

Visitation for Mrs. Lou Clark will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Thursday, September 7, 2023, in Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, 105 East Third Street, Dixon, MO 65459, followed by her funeral service at 12:00 Noon, with Pastor Alan Koch and Rev. Mitchel Henson officiating.

Interment will be in Dixon Cemetery by Birmingham-Martin, Dixon.  Pallbearers are James Howser, Jason Howser, Billy Clark, Chad Clark, Will Harris, and Joshua Tucker; and honorary pallbearers are Michael Clark, Josh Scott, Jonathan Agrimson, Joshua Carroll, Garrett Kelchner, Keely Scott, Lindsey Tucker, Laura Agrimson, and Lacy Kelchner.

Memorials are to Dixon United Methodist Church with envelopes at funeral home or in care of funeral home at P.O. Box EE, Dixon¸ MO 65459.
