Obituary

Mary Lou Carlson, of Dixon, was born on November 30, 1949, at Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Larry and Josephine (Garza) Arreguin and departed this life at 8:52 p.m., Wednesday evening, December 12, 2018, at her residence. Mary Lou had attained the age of 69 years and 12 days.

Mary Lou was united in marriage on December 23, 1966, at Baltimore, Maryland to Everald Rose, Jr. and to this union, three children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Josephine; one sister, Annette Arreguin at the age of 15 years in 1977; and one great-granddaughter, Harper Ray at the age of 3 months.

Mary Lou was baptized while attending the Gospel Tabernacle near Dixon by Bro., Ed Davis. She had worked as a Certified Nurses Aid at the Maries Manor in Vienna for 10 years, retiring in 2014 due to ill health. Mary Lou enjoyed camping, fishing, and floating on the river. She enjoyed activities with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved her 2 dogs, Chatoe and Jose.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mary Lou include: her children, Tonya (TR) Rose and Rachel Alligood, Dixon; Mary Sue (Beav) and Richard Ray, Fulton and Betty Jo Rose and Brad Lackey, Rolla; the father of her children, Everald Rose, Jr., St. James; four grandchildren, Richie (Jessica) Ray, Williamsburg, Missouri; Andrew (Ivett) Ray, Fulton; Brittany (Dustin) Light, Rolla and Kevin Alligood, Dixon; four great-grandchildren, Hunter Ray, Arabella Ray, Skylar Light and Nolan Light; her siblings, Delores Hickman, Dixon; Janie Greer, Dixon; Tillie (Bill) Morlan, Lake Ozark; Frances Marti; Gloria (Carl) Ison; Alice (Craig) Wray and Sophie Arreguin, all of the state of Michigan; Lupe (Willie) Belle, state of Kentucky and Larry Arreguin, state of Michigan; and many other relatives and friends.
