Mary Ellen (Jitter) Colley Bunch of Carson City, Nevada, formerly of Dixon, was born on August 4, 1937. She is a daughter of Beauford Eugene and Mary Ellen (Spratley) Colley. Surrounded by her four daughters, Jitter passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of September 5th.
During her working life, Mary was employed by the U.S. Department of Defense as a Budget Analyst. She left federal service in 1984 to co-manage MilSpec, a business she owned with her brother Bang. After retirement, Mary led a quiet life. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed sharing time with her daughters. She especially enjoyed going to breakfast followed by dropping a few dollars in the poker slots and hitting an occasional jackpot.
Jitter is preceded in death by her father Beauford and mother Mary; brothers Edward, Harold (Bang), Larry, Herb, and James Colley; and sister Marlene Bigelow.
Those left to mourn the passing of Jitter include: four daughters, Vickie Kieffer (Hugh), Jean Spell (Mike), Teena Fearheiley, and Laura Ashmore, all of Carson City, Nevada; sister, Betty Truax of Crawfordsville, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Mary, Jennifer, Megan, Kory, Sarah, Stephanie, Tiffany and Harrison; and ten great-grandchildren.
Fond and precious memories of Jitter will always be remembered in the hearts of her beloved family.
Visitation for Mary was from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon, on Saturday, September 12, 2015, with a funeral service following at 12 noon, all in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Interment will be in the Dixon Cemetery.
