Mary Kathleen (Hays) Juergens, age 69, of Brinktown, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023. She was born August 9, 1953, to John Alvis Hays and Connie (Hays) Peppers, at Poplar Bluff, Mo. Mary was a 1971 graduate of Maries R-1 High School, Vienna.
She was united in marriage to Donnie Juergens, July 1, 1972, at her parents' home in Vienna. To this union two children were born.
Mary leaves her husband Donnie, of Brinktown; her son, Tim (Frog), of Brinktown; her daughter, Amy Briggs (Timothy), of Cheyenne, Wyoming; three grandchildren, Riley, Jace, and Hayden Briggs, of Cheyenne, Wyoming; one brother, Alvis "Shorty" Hays (Linda), of Vienna; her mother, Connie Peppers, of Brinktown; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Brown and Rose Wilson (Dale); two step-sisters, Jo Grove and Gail Offutt (Steve); one step-brother, Dennis Peppers (Lena); one aunt, Laveda Singleton; and many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
She was employed at Capitol Plaza Hotel, Jefferson City, for eleven years, and retired from ABB, Jefferson City. Mary not only worked away from the home, but also assisted with operating the family farm. She made many long-lasting friends at work and never met a stranger. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter. She was attending Glad Tidings United Pentecostal Church, Vienna. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Alvis Hays, and stepfather, Cecil Peppers.
Visitation for Mary Kathleen Juergens will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 9, 2023, and from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 10, 2023, in Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, 406 South Main Street, Vienna, MO 65582, with her funeral service following in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kenneth Singleton and Rev. Bradley Dimock, Glad Tidings United Pentecostal Church, Vienna, officiating.
Interment for Mrs. Mary Kathleen Juergens will be in Waidelich Cemetery, near Vienna, under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
