Mary Lee Robinett, of Vienna, formerly of Henley and Eldon, was born on December 12, 1943, at Kansas City, Kansas, a daughter of Lee Everett and Rosetta Bernice (Finn) Shelton, and departed this life at 3:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2020, in SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital, Jefferson City. She had attained the age of 76 years, 11 months, and 27 days.
Mary was united in marriage on August 19, 1961, at Jefferson City, to Donald Clay Robinett, and to this union, four children were born.
She was baptized at a young age and was a member of the Henley Baptist Church. Mary was an avid reader and enjoyed watching old movies, especially westerns. She was a loving and devoted housewife, homemaker, and always diligent in providing for the needs of her family.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mary include: Her children, Kevin Clay Robinett of Eldon; Donna Sue Shanks of Vienna, Vicky Lynn Smith and husband, Duane, of Camdenton, and Tanya Michelle Robinett of Jefferson City; three brothers, Robert Brown and wife, Nancy, of New Bloomfield, and James Allen McDowell and Leroy Saunders, both of Eudora, Kansas; her two sisters, Sharon Kay Borton and Dorothy Jo Grizzle and husband, Robert, all of Eudora, Kansas; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; nephews; nieces; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, on May 13, 2016; her father, Lee, on February 12, 1966; her mother, Rosetta, on August 7, 2007; a son-in-law, Dale Edward Shanks, son August 5, 2016; two brothers, DeWayne Brown in 2019, and William Brown; and two sisters, Mayme Saunders on August 15, 1961, and Barbara Jane Shelton on October 26, 1945.
A private graveside service and burial will be held for Mrs. Mary Lee Robinett in the Henley Cemetery, with her children hosting a Celebration of Life Service in honor of their mother to be announced by the Birmingham-Martin Martin Funeral Home in Vienna.
The Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Vienna has been assisting the Robinett family and correspondence to them in memory of Mrs. Mary Lee Robinett may be sent in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, Missouri 65582.
