Mary Ann
Wildhaber
Jul 10, 1938 — Sep 30, 2024
Mary Ann Wildhaber, 86, of Freeburg, Missouri, passed from this life on Monday, September 30, 2024.
Mary Ann was born on July 10, 1938, to Alois and Cecilia (Kloeppel) Buechler. On September 27, 1958, she was united in marriage to Francis "Franny" Wildhaber, who preceded her in death on May 10, 2020.
After graduating from Fatima High School, Mary Ann began her lifelong career at the State of Missouri Division of Employment Security and retired in 1997 after 40 plus years of service. She was dedicated to her faith and served Holy Family Parish in many ways; she sang with the adult choir, active in the Church Finance Committee, and former Parish Council president.
Mary Ann was an avid bingo player and loved going on adventures with Franny. She loved curating lifelong memories through holiday traditions and gatherings with her children and grandchildren. They will never be able to eat a slice of chocolate pie, Hershey bar, or a bowl of chili, or see a hummingbird or windsock blowing the breeze without being reminded of her love.
Mary Ann is survived by two daughters, Donna Stuckenschneider (Curt) and Diane Kempker (Shawn); two sisters, Carol Sandbothe (David) and Martha Kliethermes (Larry); six grandchildren: Allison Peterson (Mike), Steven Hanlon (Candice), Tasha Stevens (Jason), Bret Stuckenschneider, Grace Eisterhold (Austin), Sophie Cummins, and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Debby Hanlon, her parents, and her brothers, Carl and Joe Buechler.
Visitation for Mary Ann will be held Friday, October 4, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., in the Holy Family Catholic Church, 104 Oliver Street, Freeburg, MO 65035, with her Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. William D. Debo as the celebrant under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
Interment for Mary Ann will be beside her loving husband, Franny, in the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Freeburg. Pallbearers for Mary Ann will be Steven Hanlon, David Sandbothe, Larry Kliethermes, Jason Stevens, Austin Eisterhold, Braden Nolfo.
All are invited to share a meal with the family at the Freeburg American Legion Hall immediately after services.
Memorials in memory of Mary Ann Wildhaber are suggested by the family for masses and Hospice Compassus, 3405 W Truman Blvd #120, Jefferson City, MO 65109 with envelopes available at the church the day of her service or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, MO 65582.
