Obituary

Minnie Maxine Bell Alexander of Dixon was born on December 31, 1929, a daughter of
William E. Bell and Della Richards Bell, in McNairy County, Tennessee, and departed this life on
Sunday, May 22, 2022. She had attained the age of 92 years, 4 months, and 22 days.

She started her working career with Brown Shoe factory February 1948, and with this career
she moved to Dixon in 1956 where she met Hurschall Alexander and was united in marriage to him on
December 18, 1959.

Maxine has a long career of 42 years with Brown Shoe factory and retired on May 11, 1990.
After retiring, she volunteered at Phelps County Regional Medical Center (now Phelps Health) in
Rolla and also babysat for friends. Maxine enjoyed working in her yard, visiting, and running around
with her sisters-in-law. She was a member of the Dixon Church of Christ and always enjoyed making
deviled eggs and lemon pie with meringue that would touch the ceiling for church dinners. She loved
the large family get-togethers and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Hurschall in 1986, along with her parents William
and Della, her siblings, Eugene, Lloyd, Frances, Ilene and Irene, her in laws, Luther and Caroline,
brothers-in-law Buell and Leland, and sisters-in-laws Pam, Mary Lea, Linda, Angela, Brenda and
Mary.

Maxine is survived by one sister-in-law, Patsy Alexander, and four brothers-in-law, Bob
Overshon, Danny Baker, Jack Alexander and Dariel Alexander, along with a host of nieces, nephews
and friends.

Visitation for Maxine will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2022,
in West Fairview Cemetery, with graveside services following at 11:00 a.m, with Bro. Carr officiating,
under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon.

Honorary pallbearers for Maxine are Brandon Overshon, Terry Baker, Nick Robertson, Shawn
Alexander, Dustin Baker, Nathan Warman and Kory Medley.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Maxine Alexander are suggested by her family to
Fair Haven Childrens' Home in Strafford, Missouri, with envelopes available at the funeral home or in
care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box EE, Dixon, Missouri 65459.
