Nellie Lee Hand, age 91,  of  Dixon, was born October 13, 1930, in Moorman, Kentucky, a daughter of Herman A. and Edna Marie (Arnold) Scott, and passed from this life Monday, August 22, 2022, in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Nellie was united in marriage on September 28, 1946, at Venice, Illinois, to Curtis Dean Hand, who preceded her in death on January 13, 1998.

Mrs. Hand was raised Baptist.  She was the librarian at the Jessie E. McCully Memorial Library-Dixon Library for many years.  Nellie was a devoted homemaker throughout her life.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Hand include nephews; nieces; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hand was preceded in death by her father, Herman; her mother, Edna; one brother, Herman Billie Scott; and one sister, Margie Mae Hand.

Graveside funeral services, for Mrs. Nellie Hand will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 26, 2022, in the Dixon Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Dixon, Missouri 65459, with Chaplain Paul Posey, Regional Hospice, Lebanon officiating.

Interment will be in Dixon Cemetery, under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon, MO.
