Obituary

Nola Louise Robertson, of Vienna, was born on March 21, 1919, at Vienna, a daughter of Mark and Martha Overy (Minzes) Blackwell, and departed this life at 7:15 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2013, in the Maries Manor Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Vienna. Mrs. Robertson had been in failing health and had attained the age of 94 years, 2 months and 26 days.

Mrs. Robertson was united in marriage on August 9, 1937, at Rolla, to Willard Collins Robertson, and to this union, one son was born. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 15, 1981; her parents; and two brothers, an infant brother, and Clarence Blackwell on August 5, 1988.

Mrs. Robertson was a member of the Vienna United Methodist Church and had worked at the Langenberg Hat Company, Vienna, from 1957 until her retirement in 1981, as well as being a homemaker and housewife. She especially enjoyed sewing and quilting and was known for her peanut butter cookies.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Robertson include: one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne R. and Christine Robertson, Vienna; one grandson, Rusty Robertson, Dixon; one brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Lucille Blackwell, Jonesboro, Arkansas; one sister, Geraldine Doyel, Marshfield; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Robertson at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2013, in the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home with Lay Leader Barry Hutchison, Vienna United Methodist Church, officiating. Two musical selections, "Blessed Assurance" and "Because He Lives" were played for the service.

Interment was in the Kenner Cemetery, rural Dixon, under the direction of the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Pallbearers for Mrs. Robertson were Bobby Copeland, Dale Copeland, Lawrence Blackwell, Lonnie Blackwell, Bob Hayes and Henry Wansing.

Memorials are suggested by the family to Kenner Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund with envelopes available at the Vienna Office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
