Ora Kevin Wiedenkofer, of Dixon, was born on January 23, 1937, at Kirksville, a son of Ora Cecil and Ruby Irene (Zeigler) Wiedenkofer, and departed this life at 1:55 a.m., on Thursday, December 15, 2016, at his residence near Dixon. He had attained the age of 79 years, 10 months, and 23 days.

Mr. Wiedenkofer was first united in marriage on October 10, 1958, at Kirksville, to Lura Mae Snyder who preceded him in death on October 4, 1985. He later was united in marriage on December 5, 1987, at Dixon, to Anna Ruth (Long) Manes who also preceded him in death on October 3, 2015. In addition to his wives he was preceded in death by his father, Ora in March of 1999; his mother, Ruby in February of 2001; one step-daughter, Lynda Louise Brown on February 24, 2004; and one step-granddaughter, Cassy Brown on April 23, 1990.

Mr. Wiedenkofer had attended Sheppard Baptist Church, since moving to Dixon. He had been a purchasing agent for Missouri Oxygen Company, Sedalia, for twenty years, then was an advertising manager for Modern Engineering, St. Louis, for seven years, and a warehouse supply technician for Rust Constructions, Fort Leonard Wood, for thirteen years, retiring in 2003.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Wiedenkofer include: One daughter, Lura Lynn Wiedenkofer, Lebanon; one step-grandson, Shawn Alexander and wife, Julie, Dixon; two step-granddaughters, Jaimee-Lynn Brown and Amanda-Camielle Brown both of Steelville; one step-great-grandson, Leland Alexander, Dixon; a special friend, Wanda Hunter, St. James; and other relatives and friends.


In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
