Obituary

Pamela Sue Lorah, of Dixon, was born on November 22, 1956, at New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of Bernard and Mary (Phillips) Mulvey, and departed this life at 8:00 a.m., on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dixon. She had been in failing health for some time and had attained the age of 58 years, 2 months, and 12 days.

Mrs. Lorah was united in marriage on March 7, 1975, at Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Ricky Lee Lorah, Sr., and to this union, two sons were born. She followed her husband all over while he served in the Army. They settled down in Dixon, Missouri where she worked at Bill's Dollar Store and Casey's General Store. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary with the Liesmann-Roberts American Post No. 298. She was a loving wife, mother, and proud Nana to Aiden and enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, John Mulvey, and one sister, Sandy Stevens.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Lorah include: her husband, Rick Lorah of the home near Dixon; two sons, Ricky (Crystal) Lorah, Jr. and Jason Lorah, both of Dixon; one grandson, Aiden Lorah, Dixon; two brothers, David Mulvey, of Kansas; and Arlen Mulvey, of Colorado; one sister, Jeannie Cannon, of Georgia; and many other relatives and friends.

The way Mrs. Lorah lived and interacted with others was the best tribute anyone could have for their life. Fond and precious memories will always be remembered in the hearts of her dear family, friends, and all who knew and loved her. The family would like to recognize and thank the wonderful staff at Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. They were amazing and treated her like their own family.

A memorial gathering will be held for Mrs. Lorah from 4 – 7 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Liesmann-Roberts American Post No. 298, Dixon, building.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorials to the Dixon Elementary School Play Ground Fund.
