Pauline Anna Brunnert, of Argyle, was born on April 2, 1922, at Argyle, a daughter of Edward Joseph and Josephine Frances (Reinkemeyer) Kampeter, and departed this life at 3:03 a.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2016, in the SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital, Jefferson City. Mrs. Brunnert had attained the age of 94 years, 5 months, and 19 days.
Mrs. Brunnert was united in marriage on October 16, 1943, at Argyle, to Aloysius Phillip Brunnert, and to this union, four children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aloysius, on June 9, 1968; her father, Edward, on August 11, 1981; her mother, Josephine, on January 27, 1998 and two brothers, Lawrence Casper Kampeter on December 10, 2015, and Clarence Joseph Kampeter on September 8, 2016.
Mrs. Brunnert was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Argyle, the Argyle Knights of Columbus Council No. 2047 Ladies Auxiliary, had served as Mayor of Argyle, and had been a member of the Fatima School Board. Mrs. Brunnert had worked on the family farm following the death of her husband, and prior to her retirement, had been a bank teller for the Argyle facility of the Maries County Bank, as well as being a loving and devoted housewife and homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and loved to play her piano.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Brunnert include: Her children, Carol and Dennis Dickneite, Jefferson City; Donna and Paul Luetkemeyer, Freeburg; Deby Markko and friend, Anthony, St. Petersburg, Florida and Andre Brunnert, Springfield; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Lori Kampeter, Taos; two sisters-in-law, Rita Kampeter and Freda Kampeter, both of Argyle; and many other relatives and friends.
