Pauline Catherine White, of Rolla, formerly of Argyle, was born on November 11, 1924, near Argyle, in Maries County, a daughter of Anthony Henry and Catherine Mary (Wieberg) Wieberg, and departed this life at 8:10 a.m., on Friday, January 26, 2018, in Silver Stone of Rolla, where she had been a resident for some time. Mrs. White had been in failing health and had attained the age of 93 years, 2 months, and 15 days.
She was united in marriage on May 13, 1943, at St. Louis, to A.Y. White, and to this union, two children were born. Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband on July 7, 2011, her son-in-law, Robert "Bob" Samson, on March 10, 2012; and her siblings, Gerald Wieberg, Wilbert Wieberg, Florentine Grant, Mary Ann Morgan, Elvira Tyree, and Martha Thompson.
She was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Argyle, and the St. Ann's Sodality of the church. Pauline and A.Y. were always supportive of their community in the way they ran their service station repair business; their devotion to the church, school, and all activities of the church; and their loyalty to the Argyle Veterans of Foreign Wars Post to benefit all veterans. She was a meticulous individual in her appearance, her social conduct, the way she cared for her home, her employment, and even in her friendship with others.
During her working life, Mrs. White was employed by the Missouri Department of Revenue in Jefferson City as a Cashier for thirty-eight years retiring in 1990.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. White include: Her children, Ronald John "Ron" White and wife, Dee, and Wanda M. Samson, all of Rolla; three grandchildren, Todd and Tricia White of Salisbury, Tricia and Brian Knapp of Rolla, and Tina Kathleen Samson-Ashford and Jason Ashford of Centerville, Georgia; ten great-grandchildren, Kyle White, Laura White, Anna White, Daniel White, Patrick White, Jacob White, Cecilia White, Cameron Clayton, Mackenzie Clayton, Lynsey Knapp, and Ryan Edward Robert Ashford; nephews; nieces; and other relatives and friends.
