Philip Anthony John Grillo, of Dixon, was born on January 24, 1951, at Brooklyn, New York, the son of Philip R. and Venera (Cifali) Grillo, and departed this life at 12:55 a.m., on Sunday, November 10, 2019, at his residence near Dixon. He had been in failing health for some time and had attained the age of 68 years, 9 months, and 16 days.

Philip was united in marriage on October 30, 1981, at Russell, New York, to the former Miss Evangeline Faith Smith.

He attended the Hephzibah Holiness Church, Dixon, and had been employed as a registered nurse, at various medical facilities, during his working life.

Philip is survived by his wife, Evangeline, of the home near Dixon; his children, David Grillo (Joy), Abasolo, Tamaulipas, Mexico; Christopher Grillo (Julie), Kadoka, South Dakota; Joseph Grillo (Deborah), Marlette, Michigan; Ariel Grillo (Esther), Dixon; Naomi Newton (Joshua), Donna, Texas; and Lidea Grillo, Luis Grillo, and Derrick Grillo, all of Ottawa, Kansas; his sister, Lenora Grillo, Albany, New York; nephews, nieces, and great-nephews and nieces as well; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Philip, in 1972; and his mother, Verona, in 1985, who were both from Sicily, Italy.

Visitation for Mr. Philip Grillo will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, in the Hephzibah Holiness Church, 403 Hickory Street, Dixon, Missouri 65459, with his funeral service following in the church with Bro. Archie Atwell officiating.

Interment will be in the Dixon Cemetery by Birmingham-Martin in Dixon with David Grillo, Christopher Grillo, Joseph Grillo, Ariel Grillo, Joshua Newton, and Jim Evans serving as pallbearers.
