Phyllis S. Wieberg, age 82 of Freeburg, was born on March 13, 1942, in St. Louis, a daughter of William Stephen and Margaret (Johnson) Klaus and passed from this life on Thursday, January 2, 2025, in the Stonebridge Westphalia.
Mrs. Wieberg was united in marriage on June 9, 1962, at St. Louis, to Mr. Fred Edward Wieberg and to this union, five children were born.
After moving to Freeburg in 1969, she had worked in restaurants and later was the school secretary for Holy Family School for 20 years, retiring in 2012 as well as being a devoted housewife and homemaker. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Paul A. Hasenbeck Memorial Post # 317. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed quilting and putting together puzzles.
Mrs. Wieberg is survived by her husband, Fred Wieberg of the home; her children, George (Connie) Wieberg; Stephen (Julie) Wieberg, Anna Lebesch and Timothy (Danielle) Wieberg, her sister, Mary Ellen Klaus; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many other relatives and dear friends.
Mrs. Wieberg was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Wieberg; her parents, William Stephen and Margaret Klaus and her sister, Adele Harmon.
Visitation for Mrs. Phyllis Wieberg will be held Friday, January 10, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., in the Holy Family Catholic Church, 104 Oliver Street, Freeburg, MO 65035, with her Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. William D. Debo as the celebrant under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
Interment for Mrs. Wieberg will be in the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Freeburg. Pallbearers will be Jordan Wieberg, Bill Luebbert, Ryan Kostos, Alex Wieberg, Nicholas Wieberg and Ganon Hidenbrink.
Memorials in memory of Mrs. Phyllis S. Wieberg are suggested by the family for Masses or the Holy Family School with envelopes available at the church the day of her service or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, MO 65582.
