Obituary

Ralph Leonard Weavers, age 94, of Westphalia, was born September 29, 1930, at Jefferson City, a son of Bernard "Ben" John and Hilda Antonette "Nettie" (Heisinger) Weavers, and passed from this life on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Westphalia Hills.

On April 18, 1951, at St. Louis, Ralph entered active federal service in the United States Air Force and served until January 17, 1955, when he was honorably discharged at Mitchel Air Force Base, New York, at the rank of Staff Sargeant. A man of excellent character, Ralph's Honorable Discharge is a testimony of selfless and faithful service to his country. He was awarded and entitled to wear the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.

Ralph was a member of the St. Aloysuis Catholic Church, Argyle, as well as being a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Volunteer Fire Department all of Argyle. During his working life he was employed as a computer technician for the Federal Aviation Administration for thirty plus years prior to his retirement. Ralph enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being with his family.

Those left to mourn the passing of Ralph include: two sons, Curtis Weavers and wife, Ginni, Freeburg, and Quinton Weavers, Warsaw; two grandchildren, Hailey Weavers and Brady Weavers, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Eric Weavers on April 23, 1984; his father, Bernard on April 16, 1982; his mother, Hilda "Nettie" on November 5, 1984; two brothers, Johnny Weavers and Jimmy Weavers; and one sister, Dorothy Verhoff.

Visitation for Mr. Ralph L. Weavers will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 6, 2025, with his funeral service following at 10:00 a.m., all in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Argyle, Missouri, with Rev. Basil Tigga and Deacon Michael Brooks concelebrating the Mass, with full military honors following.

Following Ralph's wishes, the family elected cremation under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
