Randall Charles Young, of Lakewood, California, was born on August 3, 1955, at San Antonio, Texas, the son of John Earl and Nellie Lucille (Henderson) Young, and departed this life at 1:11 p.m., on Thursday, July 16, 2020, in Lakewood Regional Medical Center, Lakewood, California. He had been in failing health since suffering a stroke in April of 2020 and had attained the age of 64 years, 11 months, and 13 days.

Randall was first united in marriage, in the state of California, to the former Helen Louise Tharp, who preceded her husband in death in 2003. He again was married on January 31, 2008, at Long Beach, California, to the former Mei Ling Chang.

He was a Computer Software Engineer for NavCom Technologies, Inc., Torrance, California, designing satellite GPS navigation systems used in farming for the John Deere Company. Randall retired from working in 2018 after an employment career of forty years.

He especially enjoyed vintage and classic Triumph cars and antique tractors.

Randall is survived by: His wife, Mei Young, of the home in Lakewood, California; step-children, Roger Chang of Lakewood, California, Phillip Deck of Uganda, Africa, and Cinamin Venezia of Frankfort, Indiana; daughters, Nicole Delk and husband, John, of San Marcos, California, and Corina Velasquez and husband, Mario, of San Francisco, California; sister, Janice Morgan, and husband, Charles, of Vienna, Missouri; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his father, John, who was born on July 19, 1930, at Marceline, Missouri, and died on February 25, 2020, at Vienna, Missouri; his mother, Lucille, who was born on August 22, 1933, at Vienna, Missouri, and died on February 14, 2014, at Frankfort, Indiana; and two sisters, Joann Elaine Young, who was born on September 12, 1960, at Columbia, Missouri, and died on September 20, 2007, at Chesapeake, Virginia, and infant Joy Laverne Young, who was born on March 19, 1958, at Kansas City, Missouri, and died on April 4, 1959, at Kansas City, Missouri.

Close family and friends of Mr. Randall C. Young will gather in the Vienna Public Cemetery, near the graves of his parents, for his interment at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 by the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Vienna.
