Randall “Randy” Joseph Haller, age 63, of Freeburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. He was born on August 17, 1963, in Jefferson City, the son of Albert Henry and Martha Louise (Eggen) Haller.

Randy graduated from Holy Family School in 1978, Fatima High School in 1982, and Linn Technical College in 1984, where he earned a degree in Auto Mechanics Technology.

On July 7, 1994, Randy married the former Rita Marie Sandbothe in Linn. Together, they shared 32 years of marriage and were blessed with three children and a stepson.

Randy was a lifelong member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Freeburg. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus #9700, the Freeburg Lions Club, and the United Auto Workers. From 1997 until 2020, he was employed by Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), now Hitachi, in Jefferson City, where he worked as a welder. In addition to his career, Randy was a farmer in Osage County. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with grandchildren, friends, and driving fast cars, especially his beloved 1970 Forest green gold metallic Chevelle with white racing stripes.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 32 years, Rita, of their home near Freeburg; his children, Katy Haller, Joseph Haller, and Jackie Deckard and her husband, Eli, of Dixon; his stepson, Cody Humphrey, of Rolla; his two beloved grandchildren, Avery and Hazel Deckard; his brother, Robert “Bobby” Haller and wife, Judy; his sister, Nancy Nilges; and many other relatives and dear friends.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Albert, on May 8, 2020; his mother, Martha, on February 28, 2009; his brother-in-law, Bill Nilges; and his sister-in-law, Debby Haller.

Visitation for Mr. Randy Haller will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Freeburg. A Rosary Service, led by the Knights of Columbus #9700 of Freeburg, will follow. Visitation will also be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and continuing until the Funeral Mass at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, with Rev. William Debo officiating.

Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery, Freeburg, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
