Raymond Leslie Bullock, of Dixon, was born on July 17, 1918, near Vienna, in Maries County, a son of William Everett and Ethel Genevieve (Doyel) Bullock, and departed this life at 11:19 p.m., Saturday evening, September 28, 2013, in the Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla. Raymond had attained the age of 95 years, 2 months, and 11 days.
Raymond was united in marriage on January 10, 1941, at Waynesville, to Georgia Olene Wiles who preceded him in death on June 15, 2009. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his father on January 12, 1966; his mother on November 21, 1980; one brother, Bennett Bullock on August 22, 2008; and two sisters, Jessie Slone on November 3, 2001; and Donna Perry on August 18, 2009.
Raymond had accepted Jesus Christ as his Personal Saviour and at the time of his passing was attending the Burnett Christian Church, Dixon. Through the years he was a carpenter for Curtis Manes Construction as well as being a self-employed carpenter, was a well-known horse trader, sold insurance for Brinktown Mutual Insurance, and enjoyed working on his farm. He had also been a member of the Dixon Saddle Club.
Those left to mourn the passing of Raymond include: One sister, Charlsie Creamer, Dixon; nephews; nieces; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted for Raymond at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 1, 2013, in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes, with Rev. David Hokanson, Burnett Christian Church, Dixon, officiating.
Interment was in the Dixon Cemetery under the direction of the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Pallbearers for Raymond were Duayn Slone, Mike Slone, Dwight Slone, Gilbert Rollins, Randy Rollins, and Tommy Luebbert.
Memorials are suggested to the Dixon Senior Citizens Center, with envelopes available at the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
