Obituary

Raymond Frank Clark, of Dixon, was born on July 25, 1932, at St. Elizabeth, a son of Thomas Edward and Anna Frances (Hake) Clark, and departed this life at 6:15 p.m., on Thursday evening, January 14, 2016, in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Clark had been in failing health for the past three years and had attained the age of 83 years, 5 months, and 21 days.

He was united in marriage on July 16, 1952, at Dixon, to Wilma Lea McKinnon. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his father, Thomas; his mother, Anna; seven brothers, Vernie Clark, Otto Clark, Ralph Clark, Edward Clark, Jr., Alfred Clark, Eckles Clark, and infant, Virgil Clark; and three sisters, Pearl Clark, Eleanor Vaughan, and Elizabeth Hake.

He began his employment in 1952 with the Rural Electric Association (REA) and after two years, he was employed full time as a lineman for the Gascosage Electric Co-operative (REA), Dixon, and completed 40 years in that position prior to his retirement. Ray was a person that had a strong work ethic and was truly a devoted husband to his wife.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Clark include; His loving wife of over 63 years, Wilma Lee Clark, of the home near Dixon; one sister, Bernadine Howser, Dixon; nephews; nieces; and other relatives and friends.
Interment was in the West Fairview Cemetery, Dixon, under the direction of the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Pallbearers for Mr. Clark were Tony Vaughan, Jimmy Clark, Mike Allen, Craig Rivera, Barry Milligan, Bradly Robbins, Matt Howser, and Donnie Boulware. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Humphrey, Bruce Wagoner, and Glen Clark.
