Raymond Stiebel, age 89, of Dixon, was born November 8, 1934, at St. Louis, a son of Joseph John and Ethel Adeline (Craycraft) Stiebel, and passed from this life on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Caring Hearts and Hands, Columbia.

He was united in marriage in 1964, at St. Louis, to the former Ms Frances Rantz, who preceded him in death on September 15, 2018.

Raymond was an avid outdoorsman who loved sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. During his working life he was an over the road truck driver.

Those left to mourn the passing of Raymond include: two sons, Dennis Stiebel and Rick Stiebel, both of the state of Texas; five daughters, Debbie Wortman and husband, John, of Pacific, Christine Cox and husband, Christopher, of Jefferson City, Tonia Williams and husband, Bryan, and Dawn Smith and husband John, all of Dixon, and Tracie Barkley and husband, Steve, of Mt. Home, Arkansas; one sister, Mary Gillen, of St. Louis; as well as many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife, Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ethel Stiebel; one son, Lawrence Hamlin; one daughter, Debbie Stiebel; and two brothers, Jay Stiebel and Joe Stiebel.

Following the wishes of Raymond, the family elected cremation under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon.
