Richard Clarence Stratman, of Argyle, was born on October 15, 1954, at Vienna, a son of Leo Frank and Mary Catherine (Wieberg) Stratman, and departed this life at 8:22 p.m., on Monday, January 6, 2020, at his residence in Argyle.  Richard had attained the age of 65 years, 2 months, and 22 days.

Mr. Stratman was united in marriage on May 3, 1975, at Argyle to Louise Catherine Schwartze, and to this union, four daughters were born.

He was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Argyle.  Richard started working for the Union Pacific Railroad in 1973 and was a conductor at the time of his retirement in 2010.

Those left to mourn the passing of Richard include: His daughters, Angie Thompson and husband, Keith, Argyle; Dr. Rachel Wolfe and husband, Dusty, St. Louis; Amanda Alpaugh and husband, Stephen, Las Vegas, Nevada; and LeAnn Feeler and husband, Chace, Vienna; six grandchildren, Megan Thompson, Emily Thompson, Brooklyn Thompson, Elijah Alpaugh, Kaylin Alpaugh, and Blakely Feeler; four brothers, Andrew Stratman, Lees Summit; Butch Stratman and wife, Marilyn, Nevada; Henry "Hank" Stratman and wife, Linda, Holts Summit; Leo W. Stratman and wife, Kathy, Jefferson City; four sisters, Georgena Hayes and husband, Russ, Jefferson City; Dorothy Lucey, Maplewood; Kathleen Steuber and husband, Roger, Vienna; and Marian Fleischmann, and husband, Gary, California; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise, on May 2, 2007; his father, Leo on February 17, 1988; his mother, Mary on May 8, 2001; and one sister, Pauline Stratman in 1944.

Visitation for Mr. Richard C. Stratman will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 9, 2020, with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m., and again from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., on Friday, January 10, 2020, all in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, One Church Lane, Argyle, Missouri 65001, with his Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. in the Church with the Rev. Matthew Flatley as the Celebrant.

Interment will be in the St. Aloysius Cemetery, Argyle, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
