Robert James Bedrosian, of Dixon, was born July 7, 1937, at St. Louis, a son of Andrew James and Annabelle Catherine (Caffrey) Bedrosian, and departed this life at 11:02 a.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2014, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on September 9, 2014. He had attained the age of 77 years, 2 months, and 25 days.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Bedrosian was a member of the Catholic faith and had attended Seminary in Minnesota as well as St. Louis. After seminary he became a priest as well as principle of a Catholic School. He also raised and showed Arabian Horses and competed in many regional shows. During his later years he enjoyed being a chief and owned and operated a restaurant in both Vienna and Dixon.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Bedrosian include: Four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jack and Louise Bedrosian, and Andrew and Susan Bedrosian all of Dixon; James Bedrosian and Johnny Bedrosian both of St. Louis; four sisters, Virginia Armstrong, Dixon; Patricia Beck, Rolla; Annabelle Niemeyer, St. Louis; and Helen Eckelberry, Vienna; nephews; nieces; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Mr. Bedrosian will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, October 12, 2014, in the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes with a memorial funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the Vienna Chapel.
