Robert Louis "Thai" Jensen, age 71, of Dixon, was born April 1, 1950, at St. Louis, a son of William Foster and Edna Alean (Faulkner) Jensen, and passed from this life Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at his residence.

He was united in marriage May 29, 1971, at Newport News, Virginia, to the former Miss Linda Louise Stubbs, and to this union, two children were born.

Robert's military training and education was Engineer Equipment Maintenance as an Engineer Equipment Repairman and Diesel Mechanic. During his time in the military, he served stateside and overseas in Vietnam, Thailand, and Germany, and after being in Thailand and learning their language, Robert often spoke in "Thai" language when he was upset and became known by the nickname "Thai".

Following his years in the military, Robert was employed as a Corrections Officer in Danbury, Connecticut, and Indian Springs, Nevada, for twenty years prior to his retirement. Thai enjoyed growing his beautiful roses and always willing to show them off to all that would look. He truly had the "Green Thumb" and did other types of gardening as well, but most of all, Thai liked being with his family, loving his grandchildren, and especially doting over his great-grandson.
