Ronald Lee "Ron" Briggs, of Belle, was born on August 28, 1951, at Ashland, Ohio, a son of Charles W. and Viola Evelyn (Boreman) Briggs, and departed this life at 5:29 p.m., on Thursday, July 16, 2015, in the Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla. Ron had attained the age of 63 years, 10 months, and 19 days.

He was united in marriage at Vienna, on September 1, 2005, to Jama Sue Hart. Ron was preceded in death by one daughter, Marina; one granddaughter, Kayland; his father, Charles; his mother, Viola, two brothers, Tery Briggs and Donald Wirick; and one sister, Elaine Wirick.

He had managed several convenience stores prior to working at Quaker Window Products, Freeburg, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding his motorcycle.

Those left to mourn the passing of Ron: include: his wife, Jama Briggs of the home; his step-mother, Patsy Briggs; four sons, Ryan Briggs, Clifton Briggs, Timothy Briggs, and Eric Briggs; three step-sons, Bobby McMillian, Collin Curtis and Shawn Curtis; one daughter, Sara Briggs; three brothers, William Briggs, Virgil Wirick, and Gene Wirick; six sisters, Vicky Goon, Barb Bartels, Carrie Judd, Becky Kerschner, Debra Wolf, and Mary Francis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Private interment will be at a later time under the direction of the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
