Ronald Wayne Richmond, of Dixon, was born on September 3, 1949, at Joliet, Illinois, a son of Eugene Monroe and Jerretta Josephine (Long) Richmond, who preceded him in death. He departed this life peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at St. Anthony's Hospital, St. Louis. Wayne had attained the age of 66 years, 9 months, and 22 days.
He was a 1966 graduate of Dixon High School, a master carpenter, and a member of the Carpenters Union No. 2298. Wayne was tenacious, hard-working, honest, and enjoyed life through simple pleasures such as visiting with friends and family, telling stories, and making people laugh. His wit and sense of humor remain unmatched.
Those left to mourn the passing of Wayne include: His wife, Rosemary; his children, Traci (Andrew) Richmond-Bell, and Andrew (Erin) Richmond; two granddaughters, Brookelyn and Haylie Bell; two sisters, Sheryl (Jon) Wilcox, and Ruby Rollins; and other family and friends, whose lives Wayne touched, are invited to a celebration of his life at a time and location to be announced at a later date.
