Rosemary Elizabeth Corrigan, of Jefferson City, was born on May 18, 1926, at Freeburg, a daughter of Dr. Charles Bernard and Pauline Christine (Vermoilen) Luetkemeyer, and departed this life at 7:22 p.m., on Tuesday evening, June 6, 2017, in the Westphalia Hills Care Center. She had attained the age of 91 years and 18 days.
Mrs. Corrigan grew up in the Holy Family Parish and School in Freeburg. She was active in her Catholic faith while living in the state of California, and after moving back to Jefferson City, Mrs. Corrigan became a member of the St. Joseph Cathedral. In addition to her church work, she enjoyed reading, word puzzles, and keeping her Holy Hour every week.
In earlier years, Mrs. Corrigan was employed by Civil Service as a Medical Records Clerk at Fort Leonard Wood and in the state of California for twenty years. Upon her return to Missouri, she was employed by the Missouri Division of Insurance, Jefferson City, for another twenty years, prior to her retirement in 1991.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Corrigan include: Six sisters, Sister Benita Luetkemeyer of Clyde, Missouri, Arlene Wildhaber of Jefferson City, Ann Solomon of Senoma, California, Sister Bede Luetkemeyer of Clyde, Missouri, Paula Ross of Novato, California, and Sandy Haller of Freeburg; nephews and nieces as well as great and great-great of each; and many other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Corrigan was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Charles Luetkemeyer, on October 9, 1944; her mother, Pauline Luetkemeyer, on September 11, 1993; five brothers, Charles Luetkemeyer, Jr. on April 23, 1976, Francis Luetkemeyer on November 4, 2009, Rev. Alexander Luetkemeyer on March 1, 2005, Edwin Luetkemeyer on September 16, 1990, and Ambrose Luetkemeyer on January 4, 1960; and one sister, Olivia Marie Luetkemeyer, on October 19, 2013.
