Shelley Jo (Fishel) Towle, age 68, of Bland, was born May 25, 1954, in Jacksonville, Illinois, a daughter of Shelly Barbee and Mary Lou (Fortado) Fishel, and passed from this life Thursday, December 29, 2022, in her home.

After a short courtship of three months Shelley married the love of her life, Earl Towle, on December 2, 1972, in Peoria, Illinois. She became an instant mom at the age of 18 when she married Earl, and they raised three children together: Tami, David, and Barbee. Shelley and Earl just celebrated their 50 ^th wedding anniversary.

Shelley accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized early in life in Peoria, Illinois. She was dedicated to her family and was loving housewife and homemaker. During her working years, Shelley was employed as a clerk at Lincoln Avenue Pharmacy, in Peoria, Illinois, for several years.

She was currently residing with her daughter, Barbee Pippert and husband, Greg, in their family home near Bland, Missouri. Shelley loved her family, animals, especially horses, the St. Louis Cardinals, and playing games. The family was in the process of helping her fulfill her dream to see the mountains and visit Las Vegas within the next year.

Those left to mourn the passing of Shelley include: her husband, Earl Towle, of Bland; her daughters, Tami Bassett (Chad Zike), of Peoria, Illinois, and Barbee Pippert and husband, Greg, of Bland, Missouri; her sister, Sharon Holmes Sweeney, of Mustang, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Zackerie, Amanda, Josie, Gregory, David, Madison, Derrik, and Alexander; eight great-grandchildren, Brady, Dean, Jensen, Clark, Layne, Scarlet, Prim, Kayden, and Easton; and many other relatives and friends.

Shelley was preceded in death by her son, David Earl Towle, on February 23, 1992; her father, Shelly Fishel, on October 28, 2006; one brother, Stephen Fishel, on February 2, 2001; one sister, Linda Lou Brown, on May 1, 2005
