Stephen Lee Kelsey, age 76, of Dixon, was born April 20, 1947, at Richland, a son of Virgle Lester and Ruth Juanita (Jackson) Kelsey, and passed from this life Friday, March 22, 2024, at his residence in Dixon.
He was first united in marriage on August 19, 1966, at Laquey, to Dianna Sue Kelsey, who preceded him in death on March 28, 2011. Stephen was later united in married on August 5, 2017, at Audubon, Iowa, to Jayne Annette Perkins.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Dixon; the Masonic Lodge No. 385 A. & F., Richland, and the National Rifle Association. Steve was the owner and operator of both the SD Landscaping and SJ Landscaping for many years, as well as working for Hauck Chevrolet, and a manager with Wal Mart, both of St. Robert. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed flying planes, stock car racing in car number 11, playing and coaching ball teams.
Those left to celebrate the life of Steve include: his wife, Jayne of the home in Dixon; children, Julie Ann Pinnow and companion, Jeremy Bull, Racine, Wisconsin; Patricia Walser, Faquay Varina, North Carolina; Randal Gibson (Misty), Springfield; Eugene Huck, LaVista, Nebraska; and Jonathan Perkins, Edmond, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law, Valerie Kelsey, Ozark; grandchildren, Thomas, Eric and Sydney Pinnow; Anthony and Aubree Bull; Taegen (James) and McKenna Kelsey; Avery and Autumn Walser; and Mariah Moore; great grandchildren, Amelia, Isaac, and Atlas Lawson; brother, Dwain Kelsey (Mary), Marshfield; sister, Carolyn Schuetterburg (Donald), Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his first wife, Dianna, Steve was preceded in death by his son, Shannon Isaac Kelsey on March 6, 2009; his father, Virgle on February 10, 1978; and his mother, Ruth on February 2, 2004.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 28, 2024, with funeral services following, all in the First Baptist Church, 400 West Fourth Street, Dixon, MO 65459, with Rev. Jack Caple officiating.
A Masonic service and interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Laquey, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon.
Memorial contributions in memory of Stephen Kelsey are suggested to the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, Columbia, Hospice Compassus, Lake Ozark; or the First Baptist Church, Dixon with envelopes available at the church or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box EE, Dixon, Missouri 65459.
